Contradictory Forces at the New Moon Eclipse – Week of August 8-14 2018

Mercury retrograde transits the Sun in Leo, and the pair is in a square aspect to Jupiter in Scorpio. Meanwhile Jupiter trine aspect to Neptune could be ripe for imaginative thinking, or delusional actions. The Uranus-Saturn trine aspect moves closer; probable revelations are made. While communication carries power, counter forces are whirling into a fantasy where good and evil are indistinguishable. The New Moon eclipse on August 11^th brings us to a standstill before a new beginning. The semi-sextile between Ceres and the luminaries reminds us that the future is for the children and the generations to come. Summary of Major Aspects of the Week Wednesday August 8^th – Mercury retrograde is in a close conjunction (0 deg aspect) with the Sun over the next day and a half, allowing for deeper sense of self-creative and re-creative insight. Leo is the sign of love for creation, and thus for humanity. Don’t forget the Love. Venus in Libra forms an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Chiron seems to bring out the personal wisdom carved from experience. The Moon in Cancer moves from a T-square to the opposition of Venus and Chiron early in the day, then an opposition aspect from the Moon to Saturn brings us into sync with reality. A quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Uranus could bring discord, although the trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Uranus in Taurus from Saturn in Capricorn promotes order. Jupiter trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Neptune in Pisces brings nostalgia and imparts forgetfulness. Thursday August 9^th – The Moon in Cancer is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to both Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio. The Grand-Trine in water signs carry the emotions and will to relate through a higher love as Neptune dissolves boundaries, compassion and forgiveness reunite friends and allies. Mercury retrograde quincunx aspect (150 deg, complex) to Neptune helps to resolve difficult issues with innovative solutions. The Moon moves to an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Pluto, as we confront hard-core issues of power and authority. The Moon moves into Leo late in the day, as the fixed fire sign brings warmth and friendship. However, an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Mars in Aquarius could ignite passions. Venus in a quincunx aspect to Uranus in Taurus contributes to finding unusual expressions of relatedness. Internet communication and complexities reach a high-point. Radical movements congregate in virtual non-reality. Friday August 10^th – The Moon conjunct (0 deg aspect) Rahu today could lead to deception and risk-taking, although the more extreme examples here would depend on the natal lunar positions and aspects. Care should be taken of health and avoid dangerous risks in sports or recreation. Mercury in Leo is applying to a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) with Jupiter in Scorpio. This could increase the risk of accidents in sports or risk taking as well. We may want to impress others with our skill and daring. Venus in a square aspect to Saturn and quincunx aspect (150 deg, risky) to Uranus could also be a dare-devil in action. Take heed of the inner voice of wisdom (Chiron) disposed by Mars and sextile (60 deg, friendly) to Mars. The Sun in Leo is doubly approaching a quincunx aspect to Pluto in Cap, with Mercury quincunx to Neptune, you could be subject to illusions.

Saturday August 11^th – Today is a day to awake from illusions with a New Moon in Leo, we can also find new inspiration. [see above image] Ceres in a trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to Pluto in Cap, and the Sun and Moon quincunx (120 deg, complex) to Pluto indicates danger for large numbers of people, and efforts to protect and rescue children. Saturn trine aspect to Uranus continues to strengthen. This could limit as well as focus efforts for emergency relief. Jupiter trine aspect to Neptune continues to strengthen, as more relief is called for. Sunday August 12^th – The Moon in helpful Virgo is trine aspect (120 deg, easy) to both Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus for a Grand-Trine in earth signs early in the day. Much needed relief arrives to the stranded tourists, as goods begin to flow more freely. Mercury square aspect to Jupiter persists, as thoughts are still expansive and romanticized, although more down-to-earth than previously, although flights of fancy are entertained or offer some emotional relief as the Moon forms an opposition aspect (180 deg, tense) to Neptune. Jupiter trine aspect to Neptune and sextile aspect (60 deg, friendly) to the Moon helps to unify emotional support. Monday August 13^th – Mars retrograde returns to Capricorn today, as goals can be reassessed in with more limitations, or with more focused on career and security issues, as Saturn in Capricorn is the dispositor of Mars. The Moon trine aspect (120 deg, flowing) to Pluto seeks to transform the traditional role of authority. As the Moon in Virgo transits to a trine aspect with Pluto, working together with authority can improve your personal outlook. Jupiter trine aspect to Neptune strengthens as suffering and loss result from violent actions, and increased indulgence founded on illusions. Late in the day, the Moon ingress to Libra and forms an opposition aspect to Chiron in Aries. Tuesday August 14^th - More oversight is called for as the Moon moves to transit Venus in Libra, and law and order is strengthened. Saturn in Capricorn is in a square aspect (90 deg, harsh) to the Moon and Chiron, forming a T-square configuration. This could bring relief in many quarters, as more limits are put on lawlessness, perhaps a curfew and other measures are implemented.
